About Jake and Aretha
Jake Blues is a first generation captive-hatched (June 7, 1998) male. He was raised by
his parents Bogie and Bacall (BE Founder Pair #3) while they were in Florida. Jake joined The Blues Conservatory at the same time as his
parents, June 7, 2001, and moved into the flock at the end of quarantine on Nov. 7, 2001.
Aretha Franklin Blues was the first offspring that BE Founder Pair #2 raised at The Blues Conservatory. She hatched on July 23, 2000 and remained
with her parents until June 21, 2001, when she moved into the flock. Jake and Aretha selected each other while living in the
flock environment. In 2002 they moved into their own flight.
