Avian art has been a passion for John Brasaemle some time now. It is obvious in his bird paintings that he understands the physical appearance as well as the personality of birds. He combines his watercolor talents and his knowledge of birds to produce high quality paintings. Visit his web site to view the extensive portfolio he has developed.

JODI LUCE of Ohio
was the winner of
A hand-crafted carving
of Blue-throated macaw
This original art was carved from wood and hand-painted in Bali by native artist Gusti. It is 18.5 inches tall overall and the hand-painting features an iridescence in approximating authentic BTM coloration.

MARYA WITT of Illinois
was the winner of the
Scarlet Macaw Wall Hanging

This 20 inch wide by 30 inch high art piece was hand-crafted in Costa Rica, prior to 1990. The beige background is hand-hooked, i.e. the pile is left looped rather than cut.
The color designs (such as macaw, leaves, etc.) are
hand-tufted, that is it's hand-hooked like the background but the loops are then sheared resulting in a 3-D effect.
SPARKY and CAROLYN NEWELL of New
Mexico
were winners of the
Saving The Blues Basket, a generous helping of choice items from our store plus one of a kind collectibles.
