The Blue-throated Macaw is Critically Endangered and endemic to the Beni Savanna area of Bolivia. One of the main threats to its survival is habitat loss. Thanks to our conservation efforts over the past 20 years, their numbers have increased from fewer than 100 when our nest box project began to nearly 800 today.
